They will then welcome a Maori group to give a cultural performance for delegates.

The Congress MC Wendy Petrie will take delegates through the programme for the following three days, setting out how each session and day will run. Wendy will provide some tips on how to use the Congress app, how to find coffee, restaurants and shops in the nearby vicinity and offer some guidance as to how delegates might make the most of this prestigious event.

Following the formal opening a selection of New Zealand wine and beer will be shared with guests in the venue foyers, with some light canapes.

The opening ceremony will conclude at 7.30pm.

The registration desk will be open from 4pm to 8pm in the foyer of the venue, on the 3rd floor.
