The 10th World Avocado Congress will be shared in both English and Spanish. Some interpretation will be done on stage, but most presentations will be done with simultaneous interpretation.
To enable delegates to hear both languages we will provide headsets. We have secured good quality headsets with a battery life that will last through out the congress, so they can be hired at the beginning and returned at the end of the congress.
This does mean there is a higher cost for headsets not returned.
To ensure you secure a headset, please use this online form to pre-book your headset that will provide both English and Spanish interpretation for all presentations, from Monday through Wednesday.
The opening ceremony will be interpreted in person.
The online form will require your credit card details that will be encrypted and held securely within a Payment Card Industry compliant portal, the same one used when your credit card was used on registration.
No charge will be made to your card provided you return your headset by the end of the congress.
Headsets will be numbered and the system will record the number of your headset.
Collecting headsets
If you have pre-booked your headset through the online form, your headset will be provided as part of your registration.
Returning headsets
You can return your head set at any time to the registration desk. The registration desk will record the number of the headset you return.
We ask that you are diligent about returning your headset. Your credit card will be charged $300 if your headset is not returned by the end of the Congress.
