The World Avocado Congress is the premium event for the global avocado community. The Congress is only held every four years and represents an extraordinary opportunity for the avocado industry to come together, to share, to collaborate and to collectively influence positive growth of the whole sector.

 

Fielddays (Sold out)

Field days will include New Zealand's top growers - acheving yields of over 50 tonnes a hectare, new intensive planting from greenfield dairy farms, and packhouse visits. Wider topics will cover agritec, supply chain, managing different crops and more.

Breakfast, morning tea, a packed lunch and water will be provided.

Please bring covered shoes, a rain jacket and a hat.

The registration desk at the Aotea Centre will be open the following hours:

  • Sunday 2nd April                3.00pm to 8pm
  • Monday 3rd April               7.30am to 5pm
  • Tuesday 4th April               8.00am to 5pm
  • Wednesday 5th April        8.00am to 4.30pm

 

Sunday 2nd April 5pm-7.30pm - Opening Ceremony

Opening Ceremony: Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, Aotea Centre, Aotea Square, Auckland CBD

The 10th World Avocado Congress will be formally opened by Ngati Whatua, the indigenous people of Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland and the President of the World Congress Committee and CEO of NZ Avocado. Following the formal opening, NZ wines, beers and canapes will be offered.

Name badges

Delegates are required to register and wear their name badge through out the Congress.

Under the congress theme, respectful, presenters will be encouraged to share any sustainability aspects of their presentation, as we collectively work to towards our shared goals of a resilient and sustainable industry.

Wednesday 5th April 6.30pm to 11pm - Gala dinner (Sold out)

The grand finale to the 10th World Avocado Congress will be a fantastic gala dinner. This is the best way to end the congress and farewell our old and new friends. It will be the final opportunity to connect and celebrate with the global avocado community under one roof until the next congress in 2027.

Please bring your name badge for entry.

A table plan will be set up at the venue.
