Dave purchased his original avocado orchard in 2010, and is known more for his development of closely planted clonals in the Bay of Plenty. Dave has a keen interest and a valuable background in sales and marketing.

Jen Scoular

Jen has led the New Zealand industry body for 11 years, during which time the industry value has increased from $80m in 2012 to over $230m in 2021. Jen leads a passionate team seeking to deliver value to growers and optimise the sustainable profitability of the avocado industry in New Zealand.

Jen has lived and worked internationally across a variety of roles including as Trade Diplomat for New Zealand in Germany, Treasurer at Zespri and in merchant banking in London.

Jen is a qualified chartered accountant, director of International Fruit Produce Association and Patron for her local surf lifesaving club.

Bjoern Spreitzer

Bjoern has a strong background in commercial partnership, business events and the tourism sector. His career in destination marketing includes multiple roles at Tourism New Zealand, including General Manager Domestic, General Manager Americas & Europe, and currently General Manager New Zealand & Business Events.

Originally from Germany, Bjoern has worked across multiple international markets including the UK, Europe, North America, Brazil, and Argentina. In his current role as GM New Zealand and Business Events, Bjoern is responsible for Tourism New Zealand’s domestic marketing, International Business Events, and commercial partnerships including Tourism New Zealand’s subsidiaries Qualmark and i-SITE.

Bjoern is a proud resident of Titirangi in West Auckland, and in his free time enjoys exploring the West Coast Beaches, following his kids at multiple sporting events, and travelling around Aotearoa New Zealand.

Tania Bui

Tania is a people centric leader with a dynamic career leading multidisciplinary teams and executive roles in FMCG, telecommunications, tourism and primary sectors including Frucor Suntory, Mars, Zespri, Air New Zealand and SPARK. She has successfully ran and sold her own agency, growing the business and expanding the client portfolio through the delivery of innovative marketing and brand solutions. Her broad experience includes consulting with startups and governance positions for local sector and not-for-profits including Acting GM for Destination Rotorua, Strategy Lead for MBIE, Deputy Chair for Tourism Bay of Plenty, and Tourism Impact Advisor to the Bay of Plenty Regional Water Advisory Panel.

Tania’s passion for building people capacity and capability is matches a career that charts commercial results driven with an open and challenger mindset with business turnarounds in all the businesses she has worked in. More recently she has turned this experience to business transformation and Change Management in her current role.

Tania has extensive networks and contributes to the industry through her work on advisory panels for iMedia Brand Summits, forums for the Marketing Association, and is a regular judge at the TVNZ Marketing Awards, the EFFIES, PRINZ Awards and APAC International Media Awards.
